Effect of Aramid Fibers on Balanced Mix Design of Asphalt Concrete

Fiber-reinforced asphalt concrete (FRAC) was tested using limestone, PG 64-22 binder, and 20% reclaimed pavement (RAP). After mixing fibers with different lengths dosages, they were extracted recovered to evaluate their dispersion in the FRAC. The uniaxial fatigue test, IDEAL CT flow number test performed on FRAC fiber contents. balanced mix design (BMD) approach then used analyze results order effect of aramid rutting resistance pavement. showed that 19 mm 10 at a dosage rate 0.5 g/kg provided best dispersion. better performance than 38 fibers. BMD ranges contents produce mixes certain resistances rutting. also demonstrated increasing study concluded results. is good tool can be refine ingredients, including additives such as fibers, optimize various distresses cracking
